Parent Community and Coffee Meetings
Weekly Parent Coffee Meetup Topics
Beginning in June, we will meet every Wednesday morning from 10:00am to 11:30am.
These gatherings are designed to build community, validate experiences, and create space for parents to share fears, hopes, challenges, and successes in a supportive, judgment-free environment.
At each meeting, Raising Phoenix will present and discuss one focused topic to help parents of neurodivergent children.
Here are some of the topics we will cover:
• Understanding Masking and Why “He’s Doing Fine at School” Is Often a Red Flag
• Autistic Burnout: What It Looks Like and How to Recover
• Nervous System Regulation and Sensory Needs at Home and School
• Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA): Low-Demand Strategies That Actually Work
• School-Induced Trauma and CPTSD in Neurodivergent Children
• Neurodivergence with High IQ (Twice-Exceptional / 2e Kids)
• How to Prepare for IEP Meetings and Advocate Effectively
• Executive Functioning Support That Fits Real Life
• The Hidden Long-Term Effects of Unsupported Neurodivergence
• Creating Sustainable Routines Without Constant Battles
• Parent Self-Care: Avoiding Burnout While Advocating
